The Adult Training Facility offers year round day supports serving adults with severe developmental disabilities and/or physical disabilities. Individuals from eighteen years of age and older may be accepted into the program. The mission of the program is for each person to achieve their highest level of independence and environmental control.

 

The Adult Training Facility is a cooperative effort between Avenues and UCP of Central PA.  The ATF offers year round day supports serving adults with severe developmental disabilities and/or physical disabilities.

Our Purpose

Program purposes are to enhance the well being and general welfare of individuals who have disabilities, to promote inclusion of individuals who have disabilities, to advocate equality for individuals who have disabilities, to facilitate the growth of independence in program participants, to allow program participants to gain control of their environment and lifestyle, to foster growth and learning through communication, to assist in development of living skills, to create opportunities for self confidence, and to educate through real reciprocal relationships between individuals and the community.

Transportation to the program is available.

 

There is an Active Advisory Board in place for the Program consisting of Parents and Community Leaders to provide direction and help with needed resources.
