For over 50 years, Avenues has sponsored a pediatric Neurological Clinic. Currently, Dr. Henry McGuire, Pediatric Neurologist for Geisinger Health Medical Center is the physician that oversees the clinic located at the Geisinger Medical group, 529 Terry Reiley Way, Pottsville, PA. There is no charge for receiving services through the clinic.

Referrals to the clinic are taken from physicians, school nurses, families and other agencies.  Appointment times are scheduled at the family's convenience whenever possible. New referrals must be 21 years of age or younger.

The Elks Home Service Nurse makes a post clinic visit to the home in order to follow up on any recommendations that have been made by the neurologist.
