Avenues Early Intervention Program serves children from birth to the day before their third birthday.  The purpose of this vital program is to help children who are at risk or already have a developmental delay.

Our staff going into a home may be focusing on any of the six areas of development.
 These areas are:

  • cognitive
  • language
  • social
  • self-help
  • gross motor
  • fine motor
  • "The service our daughter receives through Avenues has been a great experience for our whole family.  The therapist not only works with our daughter, but she teaches us the skills we need to help her reach her goals.  They truly care about each child and go out of their way to make sure they are getting what they need.  They are a true asset to our community."

              -Bridget Schwartz

The goal of this program at Avenues, as well as SAM (Service Access Management) is to help parents understand their child's needs by direct participation, planning, and incorporation of a program (IFSP) into the family's daily routine (natural environment) to assist the child in reaching their maximum developmental potential.

"I have seen first hand the positive outcomes Early Intervention can have.  Parent involvement in the program and our staff working together can have a major impact on the child's development."
